Swagbucks is a great service that allows you to earn points for doing basic things online (like searching the web) and then trade those points for real items (including gift certificates on Amazon.com).  It takes just 450 swagbucks to earn a $5 Amazon gc (which if you search regularly you should be able to earn in 3-4 wks or less).  I average 20 swagbucks a day by just doing regular searches.
