Occasionally, I've noticed that the publishers will release a secondary version of a book as a free (or cheap) download, usually to promote upcoming works. When this happens there may be two versions of the same book available for download at different prices, so be sure you grab the right one.

Check it out. I don't know how long these will continue to be offered as free, so grab them while their hot (or pay for them when their not!)

Mile High Guy (Irish Romantic Comedy)
- Flight attendant meets tv star and bachelor on a transatlantic flight....

Transfer Of Power
- "On a busy Washington morning, the stately calm of the White House is shattered in a deadly terrorist attack on the executive mansion. The president is evacuated to an underground bunker, but not before nearly one hundred hostages are taken. Mitch Rapp, the CIA's top counterterrorism operative, determines that the president is not as safe as Washington's power elite had thought. Indeed, Rapp has made a chilling discovery that could rock Washington to its core: someone within his own government wants his rescue attempt to fail. "

Frequent Traveller
- For those of us who love to travel but can't do it often enough... This book follows Catherine, the head of a hotel company, as she travels the world. From the description it reminds me a bit of "Up in the Air".

Accountable to None
- this sounds like a good little mystery thriller centered around Audra a CPA who paid the price to become an equity partner at her firm. Now she is ready to reap her revenge on those who have held her silence for too long.

I don't know how long these will stay FREE, so grab them fast before they disappear. Part of the new Amazon Lending Library allows authors that have put their books into the library to offer their books for free for up to 5 days. Those could be consecutive, or they could be divided up and there's no way for us (the readers) to know.

A DEAD RED CADILLAC
A NY model stuck running her Dad's crop dusting business and her '58 Cadillac is found tail fins up in the local lake with the spinster school teacher strapped in the seat....

Citizen Insane (A Barbara Marr Murder Mystery)
The seemingly innocent yearbook scandal is not so innocent when murder is on the agenda at the PTA meeting.

Did You Spot the Gorilla?: How to Recognise the Hidden Opportunities in Your Life
- "This self-help/business book from the author of The Luck Factor reveals a new way of creating opportunities at work and shows how not to ignore what is right in front of you."

HOSTILE WITNESS (legal thriller, thriller) (The Witness Series,#1)
- "When sixteen-year-old Hannah Sheraton is arrested for the murder of her stepgrandfather, the chief justice of the California Supreme court, her distraught mother turns to her old college roommate, Josie Baylor-Bates, for help."

Speed Dating with the Dead
- "A paranormal conference at the most haunted hotel in the Blue Ridge Mountains goes haywire when ghost hunters accidentally stir up demons."

Free and Bargain E-books for your Kindle

I got a Kindle Fire as a Birthday present from my wonderful hubby. I opted for the Kindle over the Nook simply because I knew about the Kindle Lending Library and I'm already an Amazon Prime member. I knew I could find a few free books for the Kindle and at the very least they put out a bargain book (usually $.99 to $1.99) each day, and I figured that would be enough to keep me reading on the cheap. I had NO IDEA!
There are so many more great FREE Kindle books than I had any clue of, and thanks to another blog, Pixel of Ink, I've loaded around 200 books onto my Kindle in less than a month. Also, on the Kindle when you go to the Kindle store you'll see a section of the top FREE e-books, allowing you to easily find many more books. Today, I was browsing around and found one of my favorite books of all time super cheap. Wicked, by Gregory Maguire. The standard e-book is around $10, but there was a special edition e-book with bonus material (samples of the other 3 books) for just $2.99. You bet I downloaded that one quick before it had a chance to disappear.
Even if you don't have a Kindle, there are Kindle readers for pretty much every device now, from your computer to your phone and everything in between. For a long time I swore I could never give up real books, but now I'm not so sure. If they made the Kindle water-proof I would probably make a full transition, but there's something about that risk of dropping my book in the bathtub.... when it's paper and only a few dollars it's not as big a deal as a $200 electronic device.

Relax Wraps BOGO 8/22-8/23

Relax Wraps are one of my favorite things, I have at least 5 of them floating around my house and I've been known to give them as gifts a time or two. What are they? They are customizable hot/cold aromatherapy wraps. If you deal with any sort of aches or pains you'll love these. Have a headache? pop the "Basic Wrap" in the micrawave for 90 seconds and lay it across your head (or use the eye wrap, hot or cold). I love them all. The Shoulder wrap is awesome if you endure shoulder or neck pain. The prices on these are already great but today and tomorrow they are even better at Buy One Get One (trying to think of who I might need to buy some for for Christmas). You can check out all the different Relax Wraps and options and order your bogo deal here.

The Best Thing About a Stockpile

3:34 PM
You may have noticed I haven't been posting much lately (and I apologize for that). The last few months I've not really been myself, and just haven't felt well. That has really affected everything around me, including my couponing. While I continued to do it and continued to make trips to the grocery store, I wasn't feeling very passionate about it (like I had been). I went to the store more when I had to than to make sure I got any great deals. The fact that this fell on top of the week long power outage, and subsequent spoiling of our frozen stockpile, really didn't help. Despite, it all I've still managed to almost get that freezer filled again.
We all have times where life just gets crazy and we can't do what we'd like to do when it comes to getting to the grocery store or spending any real time stocking up on great deals. That's where having a stockpile is such a huge blessing. Instead of wondering what you are going to have for dinner and feeling like there is nothing in the house to eat, there is always something available. It may not be your first choice, but it's there to be used.

If you aren't already a member of Swagbucks, you can join now and they will give you 30 Swagbucks to get started. Then you can start searching and earn more. There are so many ways to earn Swagbucks, but searching is by far the easiest (using their search engine can easily earn you 30 Swagbucks in a day), but you can also shop via Swagbucks and earn, or play games, watch videos. Really, just about anything you do online can earn you Swagbucks.
Once you've earned them, you can either use them to get stuff for yourself, or you can donate them. It's up to you :)
